A well put together stunt, I had to watch it several times to try to figure out how he parted company with the bike in the first place ::) ::) ::) ::) ::) ::) ::) ::)

It's called "letting go of the handlebars for absolutely no reason whatsoever"  :D

I wish my bikes came with a gyroscope!

they did, the tires/wheels act like a gyroscope, faster they spin the more your bike wants to stay upright and straight

I thought he had just come up on a 10,000cc single and was merely "blown" off the bike :D

Check the following link and notice how well balance the second bike is through a flip and inverted slide off the track. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lldkwsbzCbo&feature=related

Interesting, I never thought of the wheels doing that function  :)

I always thought it was my awesome charisma that kept the bike upright  ;D ;D

I bet the bike was attached to a stunt trailer with air cylinders to allow for simulated leaning as the whole set-up including the camera is being pulled by another vehicle...

That's a helluva mystery, huh?  Why'd he bail?  Obviously the bike wasn't going down :)!!!  What if the bike crossed the finish line without him?  Would he still get the points in the racing series?  Just think of the weight savings!  I'll bet that bike could win the race without that dumbass rider holding it back.

That wasn't real was it? The only time I "fell" off a bike was when a deer ran in front (I was doing 50 is at 11pm). Needless to say the bike fell immediately upon impact and I picked myself up 20 feet from the bike.

Did I forget to mention that it was my dads bike?

I'm kind of suspicious about that footage. He lets go and falls off then gets up and it takes him six seconds to catch a bike that is decelerating from at least 50 MPH. Why did the second rider that passed him do his natty little swoop where common sense would make me think that straight ahead would have been a more realistic pass....?
