Which parts were lacquered?
« on: August 24, 2005, 04:37:39 PM »
Were all the CB750 polished alloy parts lacquered?

Valve cover, Clutch cover, Alternator cover, Mission cover......any more?

Also were the fork legs lacquered too?

It's time to polish my '70 cause they look really bad, but would like to know which ones to try to strip any remaining lacquer from

Thanks

David

All these had a protective finish. I coubt if it was a clear 'lacquer', as in lacquer paint, as opposed to enamel. Lacquer paints are not fuel or oil resistant  {personal expereience  :'( }

Modern heat resistant clear enamls are likely to fit the bill.
