This Isn't An S & S Engine And It's New Reproduction!
« on: June 01, 2008, 09:52:09 AM »

It's been out for a little while, produced by Kiwi Indian. It's available in 74, 80 and 84ci versions. As figured, it IS a bit pricey though at $7499.00 assembled but w/o the oil pump  or you can buy the engine unassembled at $4999.00. Me, all I can do is look and wish. :(

He also builds roller and complete bikes, both a bobber style I really like and one you'd be hard pressed to tell from original. Jay Leno has one and uses an engine to power a generator or something.

I'd like to try that whole being filthy rich gig for a while.

Wonder why you don't get an oil pump?

wonder what it would cost to build one like that? but with a hand clutch and foot shift. i've tried riding sucide clutch bikes before. spent about 500 bucks repairing my buddies bike too lol.

Here's that leaf spring fork that was mentioned.

Tim, I have no idea why the oil pump is not with the engine. I can only guess that i is also a pretty costly item as well. :(

Fuzzy, There used to be a place to find a complete listing of the kits and parts ant the price was out of sight! :o The bike was so cool, but soooooo expensive. :(  Those folks have a large number of repro. parts and as said previously here, you could buy enough parts to build a whole bike any way you want it from pure stock (looking like the 53', with telescopic forks or the models with the leaf spring fork) to a Bobber or whatever.

That engine, BTW, is a repro old the old original  item. Now, there was another outfit that made an OHV conversion for the  Old Flat head engine.

I found the cost of a complete (with oil pump & distributor) and also the cost of a complete engine/clutch/trans (4sp w/ OD) without the carburetor. Not sure you really want to know the prices though. ::)

If you REALLY want to know, the engine cost is $9,999 :o and the  engine w/ clutch & 4sp OD trans (minus the carb) is $15,999. :o All I can afford to pay, is attention! Cause that doesn't cost anything. ::)
