Fuel Lines
« on: May 26, 2008, 02:06:06 PM »
Help ???

Carbs have been off bike so long, i can't remember where fuel pipe/pipes go!!!! There are 3 brass stubs on the carbs, 1 is a larger dia than the other 2. Obviously there is only outlet from the petcock, so i presume that one goes to the largest stub on the carb ??? If thats the case, what attaches to the 2 smaller ones? Also what are the dia of the pipes in mm? I have checked my Haynes but as usual no mention of it and no pics >:(

The bike is a 400/4
A pic would be brill, but anything is better than what i have at the moment!!!!

Regards

The one in the middle is the fuel inlet to the carbs. It's larger and I've used 3/16" fuel line and so far no leaks.

The other two are vent lines... not sure of the size.

There are also four on the bottom of the bowls - those are the individual carb overflows and are the same size as the vent lines

Cheers Matt

Do you know where the two vents are routed? Obviously the ones on the bowls just drop down behind the engine, but the other two are higher on the carbs, and face upwards with brackets to run the lines through?????
