Ducs in a Row !VIDEO!
« on: May 26, 2008, 06:12:49 PM »
soco dog (southern colorado ducati owners group) let me tag along for this ride several days ago... i've been working at a feverish pace to edit this and the other vid for the "old bike ride" in denver and surrounding area recently.

i'm on a 98 vfr800 (was the gf's, is now dad's)
dad is on the ducati mh900... now he has his heart set on a 1098r  ;D

anyway, long video ahead for you (50 minutes)... let it load (my comcast internet still loads the video faster than it plays), 120mb uploaded freely to google vids... FULL, BRAND NEW, NINE INCH NAILS, THE SLIP!... oh, and some awesome footage!   ;)

full res is pretty amazing... i wish i was able to share the 5gigabyte version.   ;)

for larger video and more viewer functions, copy and paste address into browser address bar.. minus [ ]

Outstanding, Chief! Simply outstanding. I thought I'd sample the first few minutes and save the rest for later, but I ended up watching the whole thing through.

If you've got the bandwidth, watch the higher resolution version.

well, i'm not sure if google downsized the pixel ratio or what but it seems the same... i can tell you that the major difference w/ the high res version is bitrate it was produced at... hi res version (800+mb) is about triple the bitrate... enjoy!

i'm giving you the web address because the "go to google video" button seems to not be working when i load it directly into the thread...
same as before, remove the brackets.   ;)

i may try some more tweaks for bigger picture and less file size... i'll let you know.

i get it now!  google video downsizes all videos upon upload to... ahh here... i'll copy and paste...

System Requirements: What does Google Video do to my file?
Print

Google Video recompresses all videos into 320x240 resolution Adobe Flash files with a bitrate of 450 Kbps to ensure reliable streaming from our servers. The download resolution is 480x360 at 800 Kbps. If you upload your video in any other aspect ratio, we will apply a letterbox format to your content to fit within the 4:3 frame.

We suggest the specifications below for the best quality while keeping a reasonable file size:

    * MPEG4 (mp3 or mp4 audio) at 2 mbps
    * MPEG2 (mp3 or mp4 audio) at 5 mbps
    * 30 frames per second
    * 640x480 resolution
    * 4:3 frame
    * de-interlace

could be why all the videos look pretty much the same   ;)  i'll try to get those specs and see if there's any better clarity.  i just don't like going to full screen from a 320x240 pixel video.

by the way, i made a dvd of this video last night and the quality is fantastic... aside from the occasional audio glitch.
(you can even read the speedo and make out the grain on the tank bra!)
