Engine Swap Possible?
« on: April 06, 2009, 05:50:32 PM »
Hello.

I was just wondering if anyone has ever done a full engine swap on a CB360T? Would it be possible? What may fit a 400? 550?

I am just thinking about trying to make my bike a bit more interstate able and would like to explore some options.

Thanks,
James

Nothing will drop right in. All swaps will require cutting up alot of the frame. You can beef up the 360. I have one I'm working on now. I plan on doing something similar to what this guy did, http://home.brisnet.org.au/~jmiller/honda/cb360/index.html

Thanks for the link. I have seen that bike before but forgot where so this will help. I was thinking about selling it and moving up but I just love my little cafe bike. I have been torn between boring out and overhauling more vs selling. This will give me a bit of a shopping list to help me decide.

Thanks again.

My suggestion, keep the wee 360 as your town bike and find an interesting old clunker 750/650/550/500/400 for a project.
That way you keep a ridable bike on the road and have one to dream on, plenty of projects waiting in barns and sheds and Craigs List for some one to save them. :)
I think the thing I most like about motorcycling is the speed at which my brain must process information at to avoid the numb skulls who are eating pies, playing the ukulele, applying make-up etc in the comfort of their airconditioned armchairs as they make random attempts to kill me!!!!!!!
