Interchangable rectifier?

I am wondering if anyone knows if I can put a 74 CB550 rectifier into my 77 550K. The honda dealership here said that a 74 CB550 didn't exist. Is it just in the states that it does?

Man dont know his arse from his elbow, all 550 (and 500 four) rectifiers will fit
