Using the UK "All Items" Retail price index, where 1973 = 100, 2008 = 798, so that 4:1 at £41.80 would cost the equivalent of £333.56.

Interestingly, a CB550 Yoshi 4:1 went on eBay.co.uk last week for £278

I'm riding a '92 Trident Sprint 900 at the moment as my replacement 955 engine is with the mechs to be fitted.

No way I'd ride my 500/4 100 miles per day around the M25 to work and back...
