Have you ever heard about the "big mac index"? They compare the wealth of a country by the price of a big mac menu in each country. Seems that the outcome is more accurate than the different unemployment, GNP or debt figures.

Maybe we should compare the price of a Heineken or Coke can around the world....
Coke is fairly cheap now since they are battling Pepsi for market share. Everything that needs to be trucked is going up. Diesel is out of sight and the cost has to be passed along. I know people that make their own Beer as a hobby, it may become a necessity.

But we were boys, and boys will be boys, and so they will. To us, everything was dangerous, but what of that? Had we not been made to live forever?

Diesel is out of sight

Don't even mention that...
Diesel prices are storming ahead over here right now. It's just a matter of days before we see it pass NKr14, or very close to $3. That's per litre! (A few drops over a quart for you guys in the US...)
My 85 Mercedes 300TDT must be put on a diet soon......
Gas price is just below, but fortunately the CB750F isn't all that hungry.....

Well actually if you drink fosters anywhere but australia it is not an aussie beer, it is generally brewed in or near the country of consumption, SWMBO had her brother and neice over from england a couple of months ago and he and i had been talking previously about it he actually brought a 6 pack of fosters INTO australia, tasted nothing like the piss water that is fosters in aussie, was actually almost drinkable.

Used to do the home brew, was actually brewing to kegs so i had it on tap instead of bottles, until the quack said "No more beer for a while" so decided to sell the setup, cheap good quality beer. Cost me about $40 or $45 for all ingredients, power for boiling etc, 1 1/2 hours of my time to make about 36 litres (2 18 litre kegs) and the best bit was SWMBO could never complain about the dead soldiers only one glass lol

Fosters tastes like a glass of water with sugar in it - don't judge Aussie beers by fosters

Name some good Aussie or European beers that we should try if we see them in the states.  Luckily there are some really good one's here now.
Thanks.
