I've got some F2 rods and am shipping a crank your way so can include a couple. I'll see if I can contact you through APE, otherwise PM me with the details of how to get it to you direct.

Jay

I'll ship it Saturday. Should be to you by mid week, though the last crank I sent took a crazy detour and took 11 days to travel the 350 miles :P   I'll be sending it to the Rosamond Blvd. address with "attn: Big Jay" on it.

Jerry Rxman Griffin was kind enough to direct me here.  Thank you, Jerry!

I have been looking out for a set of stronger rods for my Turbo project (which is making sloooow progress, but it's advancing, have a primary chain for the auto crank, have extra strong cylinder studs, even stronger that APE's)

But I was able to get two set of Carrillos from Dynoman.net just at the edge of the recent price increase, so I have to pass on that one...

Thanks again!
Axl

Rods went out today via Priority Mail(2-3 bus. days). There are three rods to choose from, still connected to crank. Does your "install rods to crank" service include bearings or balancing?

OK.  "Stickied"

But please let us know when we can "unsticky" it as it will get a bit congested at the top.

A little off topic...but not much.......and a stupid question to boot.....would it be possible to combine two I beam Carrillo's and 2 H-beam Carrillo's on a motor...are they close enough in weight?...other problems?

Thanks
Do you mean "A" beam. The A beam is lighter than the H beam (by a good amount) so the answer is no.

Carrillo only makes A and H Beams. They offer different bolts but that's about as far as I know. I bought a set of A beams for my FJ and they are about 20 grams less than the H beams (337 VS 356)

Rods arrived at APE on the 9th. Hopefully we'll hear from Big Jay when he gets a time estimate worked out.

Thanks again for doing this for us Jay :)

I am not having good luck making this work for the original price I was trying for. Still working some things.

There will be big news concerning Carrillo soon.

Well I have exhausted every source and connection and no one wants to make these rods for the target price. I could get them out for $950 a set, but that is a couple of hun more than I wanted to do.

We are warehouse distributor for all of the rod manufacturers, but no deal.

If anything develops, I will let you know.

Jay,

Your efforts on behalf of the SOHC4 community are always appreciated. At $950 it still the best deal going. I'm still going to need another set but I'm not in a hurry. What would be your minimum run?
