#1 carb choo choo

what is causing the carb to "choo' out the air side?   missed spark?

the intake valve might be hanging open.  have you checked your valve rocker clearances lately?

damn good call ;D   , I only checked the one valve, it was off, regapped it and the noise was gone. . .  I set the valves last summer, but I guess..whatever.
now there is a little tick, but tomorrow I will re set them all.

there's a guy on here named hondaman who recommends adding 0.001" to both the gaps of the intake and exhaust clearances for the purpose of longevity.  they do make a bit more noise but apparently the added gap means the valve stems last longer.  he knows his stuff.   i found that thread after i set my gaps this spring but will do it next time around.  good luck!
