Quartz Halogen for a 76 CB400F?? Fairing sources?
« on: May 30, 2008, 02:36:29 AM »
??? Is there any way to put quartz halogen into the existing headlight of a stock standard CB400F with its current electrical system? Thanks Paul (New Zealand)

I'd also be interested in any good sources of front fairing for the CB400F that cuts some wind, but doesn't look detract from the bike's style?

Big problem is headlamp reflector is an odd size but yes it can be done as long as you do a fair bit of daylight riding WITHOUT the headlamp on otherwise the battery will be permanently flat.

As to fairings someone else will have to chime in on that one
Semi Geriatric ex-Honda mechanic and MOT tester (UK version of annual inspection). Garage full of "projects" mostly 500/4 from pre 73 (no road tax in UK).

The National Cycle (brand name) "Street Shield" is a fairly low-key wind screen that works well.  I have one that I've used on my 400F and 750.
