Would the official Honda service manual be a better manual than the clymer or haynes version. 76-78 CB550. ?

Was that yours? I already downloaded that. Thanks. I couldnt get page 1 or 10 to load. My printer sux and will not print out clear enough for me to use and im not a good enough wrench turner to look at something and retain it long enough to put the info to use. I need something on the bench right beside me.

no, not 'mine' and the one i downloaded two years ago was a better scan, i will see if i can find a link or the file.  what i did was immediately print it out and put it in a binder in those plastic sleeves.  it would do me no good if i had to remember its contents when away from the computer.  I can also print out useful threads from here and stick them in the binder for reference while wrenching.  it is tedious but i recommend you spend the time and binder that $hit.

We also have this one online - not sure if the two are the same.  As always, if anyone has anything better, send it to me and I'll update what we have online.

Have to agree with Glenn/others..

That official Honda Shop Manual is best/most accurate.  Clymer manual bunches too much together (years, models, etc.) to be useful for rebuilds/complex jobs.

Thread..and web page given by Glenn matches exactly to actual manual I have. Worth downloading and printing out for any serious 500/550 owner I'd say.
