looks like you did pretty well for yourself! congratulations and good luck.  i think you'll find this forum to be a wealth of information..myself excluded of course! p.s., looks like you could use some turn signals..there's some for sale on ebay as we speak (again, not me).

Welcome from one newbie to another. Nice find! I would be interested to know what changes you'll have to make if any, in order to have her run smoothly back in TX

well....i'm wondering was i have to do to get it running good over in texas too.  ???

probably have to adjust the carbs a bit. right now the bike idles kinda rough and dies if i dont give it a little gas. i'm gonna pull off the carbs this weekend, clean em up, and sinc em up.

also, i was reading that you should check your timing every 1500 miles for best performance? is this true???

Who knows? Maybe it was never adjusted to run at mile high altitude in the first place. Does'nt hurt to check.

Nice bike!!! Sure looks clean.

+1  I'm impressed at it's condition given that it's in CO, nice job to whomever was taking care of it all these years.

Sounds like you're on the right track re: cleaning the carbs.  Very common if the bike's sat for any period at all.
