hello from new york

hello fellow riders with impeccable taste in motorbikes.  i've been poking around for some info the past few days trying to get my 'new' 78 cb750k running as she should.  the amount of knowledge here is tremendous; gotten some great ideas already.  i'm going to get right to work on fixing that horrible shrieking turn signal buzzer, looking into a dyna s ignition to replace the points assembly, replace the stock plug caps with some ngks and maybe do some cosmetic mods.  i've got a picture in mind of a cross between a cafe with some steampunk design elements added into it.

right now the bike is bone stock with the exception of aftermarket grips and seat cover.  bike runs pretty good, just need to figure out what's causing this strange faint, clanking noise in the motor; there's also a minor carb problem, but i'm going to ask about that in the other forum.  i'm hoping to get this bike running mint (or as close to it as i can get).  i plan on breaking her in with a nice, long 1000+ mile road trip in the next month or so.

Welcome.

Steampunk cafe racer, love it!  Can't wait to see what you come up with.

Welcome from Westchester County NY. I also have a 78K. You are one of the blessed!
