Hello everyone! My name is Spud and I have a 1981 Honda CB650C. This is my second SOHC4-equipped bike. My previous bike was a 1975 CB750K. It was a good bike after some carb work but I sold it 2 years ago because I was moving. I figured I'd try my hand again with a SOHC4 so I bought this CB650 from a guy in Illinois. It's pretty ugly and has it's issues but I see some potential in it.

This is what the 650 looked like when we picked it up. It is now a work-in-progress...


Here's what I hope it will look like when finished. I already have the gas tank and side covers coming from eBay that the same color as in the photo...

Welcome, Spud and thanks for pictures. It's pretty cool that you know exactly how you want it to look. I would suppose that eliminates a lot of the decisions.

ok well its coming along. got a better gas tank. new seat is coming next week. im gonna paint the tank and side covers black tho for simplicity and cost. not gonna look like new but oh well  :)

Black will look better, and you can always paint it the maroon red later on.
