Bike covers
« on: June 02, 2008, 01:30:42 PM »
I'm looking for a bike cover to use while the 'ol  CB is parked at work.  I'm in Texas and we get some pretty brutal
sun in the summer time.  I'm looking for a simple, light cover that would be primarily to keep the suns rays off the
paint and seat during the summer.  Maybe something that slips over the handle bars and seat/tail light.  Doesn't
really have to cover the whole bike....Just something to keep the paint & seat fresh.

Something that folds up small enough to be practical to carry with me.

Anybody seen one retail ?  Or is that something that I'd have to get custom made ?
Yep, I'm the kid that figured out how to put things back together...eventually.

its for a 750 right?

XL BBQ cover from walmart or similar.  will run you half of what a cheap purpose built cover would and it is good enough for a sunshade.

Are you Scottish?  That's the kind of penny-pinching answer I love!

I was needing something for the same reason (Oklahoma sun is almost as hot as the Texas sun...  ;) ), and am too cheap to try to impress people with a parked bike.  Thanks!

no, jewish.   ;D

and I hate recommending walmart, but unless its a quality piece like the one Johnie suggested, I hate paying twice as much for chinese crap in a box with motorcycles on it at the local stealership even more.

oh and by the way those are my a$$ pennies youre pinching.
