Can anybody recommend a place to get Telefix clip-ons where I can ask questions before ordering?

Thanks, sort of... I looked them up, but no pix. Tried calling and they have a recording that they're so backed up they're closed for at least another week.   Very strange

I bought a pair of used Telefix clip-ons for my racer project from a guy in Britain via ebay, great quality Unky Ernie, well worth the 25 bucks I paid for them. Cheers, Terry. ;D
I was feeling sorry for myself because I couldn't afford new bike boots, until I met a man with no legs.

So I said, "Hey mate, you haven't got any bike boots you don't need, do you?"

"Crazy is a very misunderstood term, it's a fine line that some of us can lean over and still keep our balance" (thanks RB550Four)

Hey Unc
Go to the Telefix site  click on Online Shop then click on Stummellenker ( Clip-ons ) and you can order direct from the factory.
If you want to ask questions just click on Kontakt.Somebody there should speak English,if not I`ll translate it for you. ;)

Ern, if your finding it hard there is a company that make clipons over here called race products, it's good quality stuff from what I have seen.
I can try to find out costs and shipping if you get back to me with your fork dimensions.

I have both a pair of Telefix clip-ons, and a pair from Race Products laying around not two feet from where I am right now.
Both are for 35mm stanchions (soory, didn't want to go Metric, but Uncle Tony Blair insisted), so what they are in Imperial I havn't a clue.

Both products are brand new - i.e., never fitted, and never thrown in the garage to rot.

Any interest from anyone?

Terry

Hi Terry,

Welcome to the forum.
Let us know where you are and what bikes you run.
Ernie that needs the clipons is in the States and I am in Cheshire.
You will find lots of help on here and you can also have a good laugh.

Thanks for the welcome Sam - I'm down here in Buckinghamshire.  I admit, I've been lurking on the forum for some time and adding all this expertise to my knowledge base - it's invaluable.
Currently I'm restoring a '75 CB400F, or I would be if it wasn't in my local M/C engineering shop have a crushed cylinder head nut removed and the carburettors cleaned up.

Sadly, I don't seem to see that many posts from 400/4 owners - is it because 400/4s don't have the problems other models have?   ;D  OK, I don't believe that for a moment!

So, Hi guys, nice to meet you all  (and to Ernie across the pond - good luck with your search for the clip-on bars)!

Sea and Sam (sounds like a vacation package)-
Maybe I shouldn't say this, but the adjustable clip-ons are for my GB500. It doesn't have stanchions, but the forks are just around 35mm I think. Need to find my calipers.  I've heard from Heli and they don't make bars that small. Too bad, I really liked the way they looked.   So Sea- might you post some decent pix of these alleged clip-ons?

As you can see, I have a 400/4 that started out pretty nice. I seem to hate anything that shines too much. Anyhoo- like everyone else, my carbs are in rehab. No one can figure out what's really wrong, so now the bike is at a friends who claims to have psycho-electric powers of specious mechanical faith healing. He puts forth that everyone has strong beliefs, and he usually believes he needs a nap.
                                      Getting a little frustrated here~
Well, at least what he lacks in technical expertise, he makes up for with unbridled enthusiasm. Which rhymes with spasm.
400/4 owners feign quiet dignity because we don't wish to debilitate weak egos with the open achnowledgement that our bikes are by far the superior of all the SOHC4s. So, as we while away the hours looking at magazine pictures of what our bikes are supposed to look like and read about how well they handle, we just let the others grovel in the mire trying to figure out how to figure the solution to weight problems, bad handling, how to survive on cheap tires, etc.

Since you're out of the closet, put your recipe in the WAAAY off thopic thread- I need help thee, too.

Hi Ernie,  Sorry to take so long to get back to you, but my card reader decided last night to fritz my system so I couldn't post the pics you asked for.  Mind you, I still haven't worked out how to actually _send_ the damn pics to this forum as yet, so don't hold your breath!

As an interim measure, ask me any questions you like, and I'll do my best not to screw up the answers, OK?
As an aside, if I wre to have to choose which clip-on bars to use, Idefinitely would choose to go with the Telefix - much heavier clamps, and they're adjustable for angle/rake.
