For the moment..... 72 CB750K   finally running like a champ.  Now I can blow it apart & paint when it gets cold.

Yep, I'm the kid that figured out how to put things back together...eventually.

And yeah, I know. My exhaust clamp is awesome.
Why have I not seen this bike in the BOTM competition? Anyway, here are mine - The Tick and 2SOHCS. Not very pretty but totally functional. There are more but they are patiently waiting in storage for restoration/chopping.
There are old bikers and there are bold bikers but there are very few old, bold bikers.

psykod,
Why is your brake caliper on the right side as opposed to the left?

I was waiting for someone to spot that one...I had a feeling it would be TwoTired to catch it first.

I bought a new caliper set up from ebay for a dual front brake conversion and as I was waiting I decided to get a head start by moving my existing system over to the right side.

Turns out the ebay stuff was pretty beat up so I had to rebuild it.  I didn't want to be down until it was ready so I put spacers on the left side to compensate for the missing caliper.

I should have the other side rebuilt and powder coated within about a month.  It's doing really well but the gyroscopic effect of the rotor being on the opposite side took a bit of getting used to compared to it being on the normal side.

What tires do you have on your K6?  The rear looks a little oversized, something I want to do when I put mine back together.

Here is a pic of the 78 F3 I picked up last week.  Rebuilt the front brakes, have the carbs off and cleaned out and ready to put back on if I can figure out how to put the damn choke linkage back together.  Rear caliper was shot, so I bought one from Ebay and still have to take it apart and clean it out begfore I install it.  It looks good overall but has not run since 2003, so I don't know the condition of the engine.  I bought it from a friend who's uncle gave it to him.  He said he was the last to ride it in '03 and the motor was in good condition at that time.

Does ANYONE have a clue what these headers are?  #4 goes back over #3 and to the left side of #2, then under the right side of the oil filter and back to the collector.  Real compact design that provides a ton of ground clearance.  Don't have a clue how well it works.

Hey there! What bars are those on the K4... and did you have to shorten your cables?

Been away for a while... good to be back - quite a thread to come back to!

tom8Toe, should have read the bottom line.

Sorry, not for sale now. Really enjoying the 750, so much so I quit tearing it down and started just accumulating parts so I can do the restore quickly.

This is my objective, but with std pipes and a dual front brake conversion.

My recently acquired 1971 CB500K.  Though I have a lot of thoughts about what I want to do to this bike, I think that I am going to save working it until the winter.  That way I can spend the summer just riding and enjoying it.  Still not quite sure about exactly what I want to do to it, but I am not planning a nut/bolt restoration.  I just want to freshen it up a bit.
