CB500 clutch woes
« on: June 09, 2008, 10:17:58 AM »
OK one of you CB500 gurus, I'm stuck.

I recently replaced the drive chain & both sprockets. So, being anal, I figured since I had her opened up a little I'd do some spring cleaning. So I disassembled the clutch pushrod actuating mechanism (the thing the clutch cable attaches to) cleaned & greased and reassembled.

Now I have no pressure at the lever, no clutch and no amount of adjusting will get me back to where it was (which was not great, but did at least work.)

I made sure the pushrod was all in one piece and the correct length. I replaced the little ball bearing that 'pushes' the pushrod. I even took the clutch cover off the other side to inspect and everything seems to be in order....

What do I do now? ??? ???
