When we ran a 750 on the ice, I think I got it down to 450 or 425. That was stock frame whels tank and seat. It get real tough & expensive beyond that.

Plus i slow it down at least 20 hp, so sometimes I get other people to ride my bik, makes it quicker..

I should try to dig out pics of the sidecar rig.

My latest change was removing the stock footpegs and replacing with the passenger pegs off of my FZR.  I was amazed the stock pegs were a little over a pound each.  The aluminum replacements are a couple of ounces.

I had to whittle out some adapters from aluminum to mount them up and retain the folding peg on the right side.

I don't think I'm going to mess with rearsets now.  Welding mounts and messing with all the linkages might be more trouble than it's worth.  The stock 400's pegs are already back a bit, plus these pegs are about half the thickness of the stockers, so I have more legroom now with the same ground clearance.

We also bought a cheap treadmill a few weeks ago, and I've dropped about 10 lbs by running.  Probably the most cost effective weight reduction on this whole project.

those look nice. i really dont like the stock foot pegs at all. plus ounces are better than pounds
But thence came the Great Schism, when the two like tribes diverged, and the Bobbers did take the Road to Cruiserdom and the Cafe Racers did ride to Sportbikedom and they did pollute the lands along their paths with their abominable spawn of Choppers, Stuntaz and like manner of unholy douchebaggery

1975 CB750F :Weight Reduction on my Bike was the 1st goal I had in mind...then pure looks.

I can't begin to tell you the amount of weight I had to of saved.

Parts I removed:
Center Stand: Removed
Original Oil Tank..replaced with smaller cylinder shaped
Original Seat: Removed: Replaced Fiberglass one
Gas Tank Removed: Fiberglass race tank 1 1/2 gallon
Drilled holes in Everything that wasn't Frame Structure.
Lights removed and replace with the light weight ones.
Mini Guages
Plastic Front Fender
Wire harness.. Redone...with bare bones arrangement...crap load of extra wire
Idiot Lights: Gone
Oem Footpegs: Removed: replaced with Aluminium
Rear Brake Assembly Removed: Replaced with Plastic Reservoir and CB900 Master Cycl.
Carb Box: Pod replacements
Muffler : Removed running straight out of Header with a Supertrapp.

Without a second thought..I at least think too 75lbs off.

Big difference in feel...even when I move back forward with my own power and tilt it side to side.

Drilled Rotors: Next to be done

I'll have to get a scale and see what it's weight is.

I have no idea of the weight of my bike but it's probably about 40lb heavier with all the Police gear on it.
I do know it is lighter when my girl friend is not sitting on it  ;D
I think the thing I most like about motorcycling is the speed at which my brain must process information at to avoid the numb skulls who are eating pies, playing the ukulele, applying make-up etc in the comfort of their airconditioned armchairs as they make random attempts to kill me!!!!!!!
