Looks like im living up to my old SN...Outlaw..
« on: June 09, 2008, 06:51:47 PM »
Ok..im just gonna unload here...this weekend has been hell as i have mentioned in other posts and threads (and to a couple of you in PM). It started off with my mom going into the Hospital on thursday..followed by the runaway poker ride on saturday...now...a problem i thought was solved from a month ago has reared its ugly head again....Near the begining of may i had car problems and due to the car being in a transition period between purchase and it being licenced..(here in canada you can use your old plate for up to 7 days before the car must be insured) it was impounded...now ok..i jumped through the hoops they wanted me to go through to get it out...i had to go to the RCMP station..who after that was done phoned the towing company and cleared the car to go or so we thought..no one mentioned that the car needed to stay in the impound lot for a certian amount of time. Due to this lil fact..(ok BIG fact) im now facing possable grand theft auto charges...for stealing my own freakin car!! Right now i dont know what the hell to do next or how things are gonna turn out..i do know that as of today i am no longer a mobile patrol officer and have been returned to full time stationary duty. (which along with that comes a major drop in wages..)  :-\ :-\ :-\ :-\ :-\ :-\ :-\

Whats ultimately ironic is the fact that im on their freaking side..i enforce the law just like they do...i pity anyone thats actually doing something illegal..

Man, that definitely SUCKS! >:(  After all you went through, to get that position and they take it away just like that! >:(  Is there any way that you can appeal it, or something that can be done to clear this up? ??? What about the folks who said your car was clear to take?  Is there something you can do there? Man, about all I can do, is feel your pain! And I'm really doing that right now! That is so senseless! Please keep us posted about your situation with your Mom and the deal concerning your car and your job. Times like this makes me wish that there WAS something that I could do to help you out. :(

Having been on the job at one time I cannot understand why you did not get a pass. In this area cops watch out for each other. If not a pass they at least cut you some slack. My kid got hit for 75 in a 55 and after some discussion with the cops at the Courthouse, they knocked it down to a seatbelt. He had to pay the same fine as he would for speeding, but to points and no surcharge on my insurance. The cops in Canada need to get their heads and asses wired together.

But we were boys, and boys will be boys, and so they will. To us, everything was dangerous, but what of that? Had we not been made to live forever?

Well this car has been a problem ever since the first time the old battery failed...then it completely dies...gets impounded...almost gets me arrested...gah...and to get it to spec for inspection it needs at least $1300 in repairs. (Windshield, Tires, Brakes,). Initially my boss couldnt understand why i wouldnt do repairs myself...most of the reason being is lack of a place to work until recently and lack of experience with brake repairs...all in all this car has been a major hassle to deal with....if it wasnt for the legal issues i would probably keep it..but now because of this mess im more then likely gonna be targeted over and over..as said..probably gonna sell it especially if i get back onto mobile with the Blazer and go hunting for something else to have as a 4 wheeled project..possabliy a fiero...

unless you put a different motor in... be on the lookout for the v6 fiero.  they are the ones to get your hands on!  the little 4 bangers are for sissies.

oh, and add the ever popular fiero aftermarket mod... a fire extinguisher.   ;)
