Hi from the newbie in Colorado
« on: June 13, 2008, 08:33:04 PM »
Hi!  I just bought my first Honda SOHC inline 4 a '75 CB550 about 3 days ago and am in the process of getting her up and running.  Cleaned out the carbs and started her up briefly today, but still need all new cables, battery, and new fork seals before road ready.  It's pretty stock except the 4-1 exhaust with Yoshimura muffler.  I'm learning more about her (and the previous owners) every time I look at it (yup, a piece of green foam placed horizontally in the air box was used to filter the air).  I'm not quite sure on a name for her yet but I'm thinking Charlotte because I found two dead black widows on her so far.  I'm planning a ride to Montana later this summer with some friends and look forward to taking her on this trip.  I've owned a '74 Yamaha TX500 in the past and an '80 Honda C70.  I'm really excited about finding this forum and the wealth of knowledge stored in the pages!  I will add pics later (when I figure this thing out).

Congrats on your purchase! I hope you don't find any black widows on the seat. :-0
