Liquid Crystal Display Malfunction
« on: June 11, 2008, 07:20:48 AM »
Good Morning Gang;
Last night while returning from a local bike night, I lost my liquid
crystal display, my tach and several of the lower indicator lights
(neutral, oil and stoplight malfunction) on my 1983 CB650SC. All other
electrical functions appear to be normal, i.e., blinkers, horn,
headlight (high/low), starter. While looking at the wiring
diagram, I see that the brown/black wire is common to all the
malfunctioning items.
I also looked at the fuse box...but I am unclear as to which of the
fuses controls the above functions. Clymers manual makes it sound like
I need to remove the headlight and such to get to the wiring harness
and to the fuse box to check all the connections? Where should I start?
Any help would be greatly appreciated. BTW, I'm not an electrician, but
I do own a multi-meter. Thanks.
