1980 cb650 gas line size

is there a standard size...there is no markings on my current ones wanted to swing by autoparts store but doubt they will know...

If you can take a sample with you they can figure it out.  If not, measure the diameter of the petcock outlet.
It is either 1/4" or 3/16".  I ended up using both sizes with an in line coupler on my 650 since it is a combo of '79 carbs and '81 tank.
Now  1972 CB350FX (experimental v2.0)
        1981 CB650c Custom with '79 engine (wifes)
        1981 CB650 engine
        2004 HD XL883C Custom
        1977 Yamaha XS750D (in progress)
Then 1972 CL175
        1964 Yamaha YGS-1T

It is either 1/4" or 3/16". 

It's 5.5mm.  1/4" will work if you use hose clamps.
