Gauge Bezels and Faces
« on: June 08, 2008, 07:40:11 PM »
I am looking to rebuild the gauges somewhat, I want to replace the gaskets, change the faces (preferably to Kilometers per hour) and replace refinish the bezels. Got any suggestions where to find the parts?

Seen a article in a recent ROD & CUSTOM mag. about custom gauges.

I went to honda4fun, and for some reason the thing comes out in Italian  ???  What's even funnier is that even though I don't speak Italian, I can still partially figure out what they're talking about  :D

I've got a set of 650 gauges on my 500K that are metric. the faces are in excellent shape and I just stripped primed and repainted the outer bodies. Maybe we can swap pics and talk about a trade??

I made my own on a computer with Adobe Illustrator, and printed them on good quality photopaper. I think the screenprinted ones you see for sale will last longer, but I didn't like any of the designs.

That's what I'm trying to figure out. I was originally planning to run a 650 cam in this 500/550 head, but chickened out... so far the speedo seems to be accurate, and 65 mph = 3K on the tach.

I'll have to get my riding buddy to help me check the speedo the next time we ride.
