Hey Gordon,
Can you still open the seat fully, to get at the tool kit, etc?

Not fully, but more than enough to get the battery out.

Thanks for fixing them, Upperlake! :D  You saved me some time today.  I didn't get it right the first time because it was really late at night and I had to be at work at 5am the next morning. :'(  It was sort of a rush job.

Don't the bates bags allow the whole top to come off?  Won't that allow the seat to open fully?

Just curious.  The bags on my Cb750F won't allow the seat to open more than 3 inches.  And, the bag tops are hinged. ::)

The solution for seat opening for me was to have the bags sit just a little lower.  I don't think that will work with the stock exhaust (something I'd rather have).  With my exhaust and the lower mounting, I had full opening and access.

Not these.  They're hinged at the front.  I'm going to play around with the mounting adjustment today to get them set level and see how much farther I can lower them.  I originally set them about three inches above the exhaust to accommodate for sagging under weight, but since discovering that they don't actually move much at all even with half my body weight on them, I can safely drop them down a little.

The style suits the bike.  Nice :)   I'm wondering with all the available adjustment you didn't just put them on straight the first time?  :D :D   Anyway, I fixed them for you.  :)

Hey upperlake!  While you're at it, can you 'shop me some stock Valley Green Metallic sidecovers with badges? ;D ;D

All good as the stock pipes make it difficult to find bags that let the seat open, don't melt on the pipe and let a passenger sit comfortably.I found mine which were Shoie from a fellow member and they meet all the above Joe

so long as you're taking requests; put a 13" front wheel on it, apehangers and an oversized squeeze horn.  put a clown on it, and make him angry.  flames out the exhaust optional.

there'd be some photoshop skeeeeeeelz, let me tell ya.
