Question about parts for sale
« on: June 12, 2008, 11:17:26 AM »
I pretty much gave up on my cb750f after I've gone through 2 engines.  Now its time to part it out as I just bought a 81 cb750c.  What are these 750f parts worth?  I dont sell enough to even have an idea of what the dual front brakes and etc are worth.  I also have 3-4 milk crates full of extras and a ton of parts painted black for when I was going to reassemble the bike.  Can someone shoot me a list of what the general parts sell for?

Black painted DID rims
Dual front disk conversion
Wiring Harness
Oil tank and lines
complete cb750f motor
titled frame
and anything else you can think of.

Thanks.

Things are only worth what someone is willing to pay. I'll be the first to ask for the side covers and the fork tubes (not the lowers, just the polished tubes) though, if you are willing to separate them from the frame(need 1978). Keep your eyes glued to FeeBay for indicators on similar parts. Why did you decide to part it out as opposed to selling it outright?

Well I disassembled the bike, painted everything and lost steam due to engine problems.  I have a cbr600rr I was going to use but the specific cams I needed are rare and generally cost a lot.  I baught a really nice 81 cb750c so I figured I'll just recoup some money and part this cb750 out.  I mean after all, its already in pieces....

I have one side cover to my knowledge.  I'll be willing to do the forks if my buddy doesnt want to do a dual disc conversion.  I figured it would be easier using the forks I have than fitting and refitting his forks for the disc's.

Thanks for the help!

Cheers,

I chopped up the cb750f tank and put in knee knockers.  I will have 2 cb750c tanks up for grabs.

Yes, I have a master cyclinder.

I will make a parts list tonight/tomorrow and post in the for sale section.  If you talked to me here, I'll give you first option to buy the parts you want.  I also a cafe seat I might put into production if people are interested.

Got a seat?
Cafe Racing is mainly a matter of taste. It is an atavistic mentality, a peculiar mix of low style, high speed, pure dumbness, and overweening commitment to the Cafe Life and all its dangerous pleasures. I am a Cafe Racer myself, on some days - and it is one of my finest addictions. ~H. S. Thompson~

Only a cafe seat I can make copies of.

If you look closely you'll see its slightly indented toward the rear.  I'll have 1, maybe 2 of these for grabs.

I have a set of comstars and a set of spoked.
