Electronic Analogue Tach
« on: June 13, 2008, 11:08:07 AM »
Has anyone ever tried to wire in an early VF750 electronic tach to a CB550?
Could use some help with this if possible.

Thanks
FJ

Kinda depends on how it's hooked up and what the coil arrangement is on the VR750.

If the VR750 is twin coil wasted spark like the CBs were, and it connected to one or both of the negative coil terminals then you should be fine. But if the tach signal comes from the electronic igntion it will not work, at least not as-is.
