Repair Manual for dirt bikes.
« on: June 06, 2008, 05:34:26 PM »
I have  a 1982 Honda XR80. I need a repair manual. Does anyone know of any links online where I can find one?
If it's worth doing at all it's worth over-doing.
Honda MT250, CB400F, CB450K, CB550, GL500, CBR929
Kawi GPz900, H1

To download free or to purchase?

Free - nope, I afraid I can't help.   :(  Although, somewhere in my travels, maybe over at the Hondatwins forum, someone posted a site you could join and supposedly get free downloads.  Never went there myself, though.

To purchase - ebay, Dennis Kirk, Amazon, BikeBandit, Google.

Good luck with it.

Haynes do a generic one for Honda off road singles, XR/XL80 toXL185/ XR200 as all the 'upright' motors are very similar (they just get bigger ;D)
Bit unusual for Haynes, they give an awful lot of specifications.
I find it pretty good, but, I worked on them since 1970's
probably going to cost you about $20.00 or so

TO you need the whole manual or just some fairly specific bit of info out of one. I think I probably have a CHilton's or whatever at home that might cover it.
A good bike mechanic only needs two tools, WD40 and duct tape. If it doesn't move, but should, use the WD40. If it does move but shouldn't use the duct tape.
