Speedometer Face Decals
« on: June 14, 2008, 08:21:16 PM »
Hi, new to the site, just bought a '75 CB750 and already had a '75 CB550.

I've seen places to buy custom guage faces to rebuild the speedo and tach but does anyone sell the orignal faces?

Thanks,

Mike

You try the search function?

Know what the FAQ section is?

I contacted the UK based Clocksndials and for a set of decals for a K2 he wants about $70 shipped to Toronto.

If you like stock faces, search for ebay seller roberth9.

Getting these gauge face decals professionally printed on vinyl using solvent inks is an expensive process and there's a minimum quantity. However $70 shipped seems far too much. I only have 400f ones and those are $40 shipped. With those come detailed fitting insructions and a replacement trip grommet.

You can also do www.yamiya.com  but they are not cheap...  They look original and are not just the decal but the underlay plastic too.  Very good quality with the yamiya stuff from Japan.  Fast shipping and good experience with the members on the board here.

You could always get a good image of the dials in good condition, theres some on the site here somewhere, and take them to a big sign shop, tell then the exact diameter of the faces and have them print out the faces on sticky back vinyl. Hell of a lot cheaper
