Why didn't you tell me I'm an idiot?
« on: August 27, 2005, 09:54:06 PM »
Dadgum it anyway! Today I was taking a parts bike out of the trailer and all was going so well. Then as I started to wheel the bike away I bumped the old CL350 I had parked in the driveway :o It was on the center stand and over it went. Right into my spotless 750K!  :'( The same 750 I've had for TWO WEEKS. Clutch lever of the 350 slammed into the 750 and dented and scraped the BEAUTIFUL tank. Fortunately I was able to grab the 350 before it put enough weight on the 750 to make it go over. I said, "Gosh darn it!" (or words to that effect) as I pulled the 350 upright and stared in horror at the 750. I guess the good news is the 350 wasn't damaged except for a broken clutch lever and the 750 stayed on its stand without toppling. Guess I know what the spring project will be. I'm not the only one that's done something that stupid, right?.

Thanks for the advice, I usually fell the same way, but TWO WEEKS! I'll get over it I'm sure, as soon as I get tired of standing up every ten minutes to kick myself in the rear.

I think most of us have done something like that before (but most of us won't admit it). So, like the buyer of my GSX1100G said to me, "I think it gives it character."
