Nice pics there KH, I think the last pic of the 750 is or has been a member here, I think I have exchanged gossip with him in a thread.

I'll be staring at these for hours KottkeHead, thanks :) :) :)

Was trying to figure which class my modified '78 750F(836 bore) would fit in. Dual front disks and one in the rear. Doesn't look like I could run it against any of the Honda's shown. Maybe the Guzzi ??? Any ideas?

I'm working on getting a track suit together and doing some vintage track days, possibly a class C course. Would love to be able to ride in an event someday if possible.
Give me..a frame to build a bike on, and my imagination will build upon that frame

That will be the easy one Sam. Already have a local Wednesday night "all comers" where you can put just about anything on the 1/4 mile. Hoping to get joeb, Kamal, and (new)Jhase from the forums all out there for a SOHC showdown, haha. yeah, yeah, been saying this for a while, I know.

I haven't made it over there myself yet as I am understanding that it is good to trailer the bikes in case something blows up. All I can afford is these damn bikes at the moment, but these guys have access to some four-wheeled vehicles ;) ;D

Mr. Scondon,

You'll probably get a reply from someone here about what class to run, or go to the AHRMA site for class rules. Maybe check while your on their site for a classified section, you might get lucky and find someone selling leathers. The best other advice is to attend a vintage event, most of these guys love the attention and are more than willing to answer questions, don't forget these guys all go to work on Monday too! (not like a MotoGP race!!) That's the best place to find stuff and info to get started. I can tell you here the VRRA allow some bending of the rules as long as it's reasonable.

Thanks Brent, sounds like a good plan :)  I've been able to piece together a nice track legal two-piece suit and some decent boots for under $500. Teknic Sport leathers, Alpinestars SMX-R boots, and Joe Rocket HRC HONDA jacket, all new except the pants(worn twice). Expecting to have all parts in hand by next week. Will add a proper back protector to the list once I see how everything fits.

Big and Tall doesn't describe most racers so finding used stuff in my size can prove difficult. If I end up really digging the track I will sniff out a good One-piece as they seem to be a little more forgiving in weight(read:fat belly) differences.

Best I could figure from the AHRMA site a while back was one of the modified sportbike classes that would have me running against early '80's Suzy's and the like. I would do my best to stay out of their way ;) :D
