I'm finally registered!
« on: June 16, 2008, 10:42:39 AM »
Well after poking around these boards on and off for the past year or two I figured I would finally register.

I'm located up in the frigid North or upper Michigan. I've got a '77 CB550 and a '79 GL1000, currently spending most of my time on the 550. The GL1000 is in excellent shape, it was my uncle's bike and he recently passed and I inherited the bike. I hope to learn from mistakes on the 550 before working on the Goldwing.

I've already posted pictures of my 550 in the owner's registry thread (I think that's what it was called). It's not really a restoration project, but a daily rider project. Maybe someday when I have the money to spend on it I'll restore it or convert it to a cafe racer. It will be done this month hopefully.

Welcome.

The GL1000 has more sentimental value, that's the main reason for waiting on it. My uncle was a remarkable guy.

But really now, guinea pig? She's going on the road first! That's something to be proud of. ;)
