Why do you have to make it so hard on us voters? :P

All outstanding examples but there is one that just catches my eye a little more than the rest.

I both fully enjoy this thread series and dread it. May I be a colossal pain in the butt and suggest in the future having categories (Cafe, Resto, Surviver-NOT the band) loosely structured? I see one issue when there are too few bikes but as SOHC4 grows ever bigger it may make it less difficult for the voting.

But harder for Hef!!

I want to make sweet, unadulterated love to hymodyne's fairing, but tsflstb's red bodywork/black rims/silver spokes is probably what my own 550 is going to look like when it's done. (It's just a coincidence, I swear!) So, my vote goes to my my future doppelgänger.

Just have to mention why I picked the bike I did [Disclaimer:ALL bikes looked great..a credit to all SOHC 4 afficionados I feel]..

HOWEVER..Hopterfixer's example somehow reflects a bike that's been modified to cafe sensibilities..but doesn't loose the original SOHC 4's design appeal..I felt @ least.

Even with my own stock 550K..which due to it's original pristine condition..and my reluctance to mess with that..is somehow surpassed by the thoughtful, thorough rebuilds done by some of our SOHC 4 members.

Thanks all for the memorable, enjoyable examples, candidates!

Okay. I made my choice. I placed my vote... then I removed my vote and voted for someone else. That's it, I am stepping away from the keyboard. My vote is in.  :P  What a hard choice...

OMG that was a very, VERY difficult one. In separate competitions I would have voted for every single one. Lots of examples of very, very fine work.  :D

I feel I've voted for the underdog though... 8)

In the end Andy's tank is what sold me.  Nice work Andy!

BTW, I would trade my bike for any one of these, and yes it was VERY hard to chose.

BTW, where did you get those grips from?

yeah the simplicity of original and sweet seems to just draw the eye, so okie has another vote, true chrome pipes and exhaust eye catching, original stock appearance you see less and less of so it becomes more and more appealing, stock grips that are not as comfortable to ride with add to the original look also, factory type mirrors or close i think, and really clean gauge display ;) but the sivler tank was hard to pass up also, that really pops, almost blinding in sunlight i bet, and i really envy the one with the sport fairing, that would be all to sweet in the winter months here in georgia, and i fell ashamed to pick one over the rest because all are obvious to earnest owners that respect and care for their ride so hats off to everyone that got nominated :)

After some intense internal debate (I won of course) I managed to cast my vote. I have my panties in a twist because I truly love all the bikes.

Good luck to all; next month I'm nominating the rusting Kawasaki 750 twin in my friend's back yard just to move things along!
