cb 550 carb needle

is there a way to move the needle clip on a 74 550 without disassemble the carbbs?

no, why do you want to move it, more gas, less gas, why move it, does it not run where it supposed to be, that is the fourth notch down, factory, are you making a mod and want to compensate for it?

You can change the needle clip position while the carbs are still on the bike.  But, you have to take the top of the carbs apart to remove the slides.  You will have to vacuum sync the carbs afterwards, due to the mechanical alignment disturbance.

i find it impossible to remove 2 and 3 with the rack installed on bike ::)

I've done it as well.  It really saves time doing it on the bike.
1977 CB550F.  Mostly Stock.
