Plug wires... are they bad?
« on: September 02, 2005, 06:51:43 PM »
Greetings,

'73 CB350F, getting it running this weekend. I rebuilt the carbs, got a battery etc. However, upon taking the plugs out, I noticed that the plug wire simply pulls out of two of the caps without any resistance. I was trying to check for spark, but when I moved the cap, the wires fell out. Are these supposed to disconnect at the plug caps, or is there a bad connection? I get good spark on all of them, but if I very gently tug on two of the plug wires, they will come out of the cap.

Any help would be much appreciated...

The caps have a threaded post in them that screw on to the wires, you probably need to snip 1/4" to 1/2" off of the wires so you can get a good connection.
