Well at least the MC is off the list of possible issues. It could very well have been one of the old lines collapsing inside the SS braid, and the tilted caliper wouldn't have helped.
Here's the waffle in the MC. WTF is that?
Interesting, Indy. Likin' your VFR, I'll bet?

Had alot of saddle time this summer to get to know her and we're getting along well. Need to work on the front end this winter....leaky fork seals and overly-soft front suspension in general. From what I understand, they were pretty soft in the front to begin with. Even so, she's lots of fun to ride. That whirring gear sound is most addicting.
I think it is a imprint of a screen in the positive die, designed the control the flow of metal and prohibit the flow of drose or impure aluminum into the piece being cast.....or maybe not?
Speed Warrior, the blue cafe. However, I just checked the Aus Post tracking, and the part was only 'forwarded to destination', on the 1st. Of course that's still one day ahead, but looking doubtful for having it this weekend.I'm leaning toward the waffles aiding in slowing 'slosh' up the curved surface.
Hey MCRider... Marshall pipes have shown up on ebay (at least I just noticed it) from a seller that I think is in the PacNW...Price isn't bad when compared to what a new set of stock 4-into-4 pipes run on ebay...The Marshall pipes for the CB550 are priced around $500 while the price I'm seeing most of the time for new 4-into-4s is around $900.David
Be very, very careful of the early VF's Brian, they were terrible bikes with lots of mechanical gremlins. The later VFR's were superb bikes, but I wouldn't own a VF750/1000, even if it was given to me........... Cheers, Terry.

I am not exactly sure Mc, the first model VF's were problematic but i am not exactly sure when Honda fixed it.... Terry may know more....
