This sure is fun, watching you running the Wolf. :)

Thanks Mark! We've hit about half of the events I've wanted to so far. Most misses due to bad weather. Hoping for a few more drag runs and the Ohio Mile once again this month.

The Kentucky Kick Down got rained out. At least in Indy, I would have had to leave and drive at least 2 hours in the pouring rain. Louisville itself might have been dry. But, with an open trailer I didn't feel like getting it so wet. But, I may have felt less enthusiasm, for another reason. In the last few days, and it may have been coming on for a while, I've felt chest pain, and last night it was in my left arm. Some Nitro and bed rest took care of it, but the cardiologist wants me in for tests.  Could be my third stent is in my future.

But I'm feeling real good today and hope to get some catch up updates posted here.

Here's a quick and not so dirty breather catch can. The run at Ohio mile had some oil dripping from the rocker box vent. I used my L-Dopa pill bottle, Fittiing I thought,  :D

In anticipation of the remote possibility I can go to Ohio Mile this weekend, we worked on some bike prep. The battery needed a metal tiedown per thei tech rules. They let me skate first time. So, spanning this...

led to this...

Finishing with this...

Didn't quite get the bend right on the right side, but good enough for the first try.

The new CafĂ© racer seat was off on the stud placement for the latch. I'm pretty sure the tech guys wouldn't appreciate that my seat was held closed with a bungee cord.  The hinge position was right on, but not for the latch.

The seat pan is real nice, though very thin. This makes for a very light seat, just FYI.

A couple of holes with some short sheet metal screws, did the trick.

So if the Doc clears me, we'll swap sprockets on Thursday thrash day, and head out Friday AM.

But its not likely. Chest pain doesn't fix itself, usually.   ;)

It's worse than I thought. Catheter revealed  I'll need at least 3 heart bypasses and maybe 5. Doc says to restrict activities to a slow walk to the mailbox. Call 911 if help is needed before the scheduled surgery. Haven't set it up yet, but it will be as soon as possible, this week or next. Recovery is 2 to 6 weeks, so I won't be writing much, perhaps. All MC activities canceled.

Something cool, they now go in the wrist (if they can) with the catheter instead of the femoral artery in the groin. Less chance of bleeding.

My dad died at 51 from a heart attack. Autopsy indicated he'd  probably had several smaller events (heart deeply scarred) before the final event.

At 63 I'm in the bonus round.   :D  I called 911 early in previous chest pain event to not take a chance (6/13) and pre-scheduled the next one in Jan, 2015. I'm not waiting it out. Chest pain isn't like a muscle strain, it won't get better on its own.

Doc said he didn't see any heart damage itself, but previous blockages that weren't very bad, have gotten a lot worse. Just got my schedule from Dr., I go in a week from today for the surgery.

Good on you for being smart about calling 911, especially with your family history.  So many people call us too late because they think its not so bad, or have "other things to do!" Best of luck to you, hope all goes well!

Just got an email from Rick, my friend who has been riding my bike at events. He has a Hayabusa and a GSXR750 at the OHIO Mile this weekend. Looking to add to his collection of LSRs. 2 at Bonneville and 2 at Ohio Mile.

Rick's son Preston got the LSR for 750s (GSXR750) at 149 mph at the Ohio Mile. Haven't heard about Rick yet on the Hayabusa.

I'm going under the knife tomorrow AM. Doc said at least 3, maybe 5 bypasses. It'll feel better when it quits hurting.   :D
