I got the centerstand back with the addtl height welded onto the feet. The guy did a really nice job molding and forming, boss said he took too long cause he was having fun with it.  I'd rather that he have fun with it than be sweating over it cursing the owner (me) for being so stupid, anal, rediculous, etc..  I've had some really nice parts made over the years that didn't work out, let's hope it fits this time.

Foreign Speedo said the clocks look "really nice" and will ship back to me tomorrow.   ;D

Film at 11:30.

Got the Moroso disc. Quite a piece of hardware, steel, heavy. Center bushings for different apps. Getting ready for return of engine parts.
Along with the CS.

Mike may have the million dollar CB. I've got the near million dollar centerstand!   :D

The first try was barely too short allowing the tire to just kiss the floor. REmoved 1.5".

This one is definitley taller. Added back 3/8".  If it's too tall, I can grind it down.  But I really hope I don't have to.

Foreign Speedo called again, as they said they would, with the invoice amount. They charged me the flat rate for service on 2 instruments. Nothing extra for the recalibration. I hope they look good.

So Sunday we'll test out the stand.

Looking good Ron. Hope Sunday's fitment turns out as anticipated. Nice wheel, Mike messed with a few telling his was a 20 inch... ;D

Good times ahead reassembing the bike so you can enjoy her this summer.

Thanks David. The modded CS works perfectly! The addtl radius on the front of the feet makes it much easier to deploy, as I was hoping it would, and it settles down to about 1/2 inch or less tire clearance. OFf to the chrome shop.

Several things accomplished today, film at 11.   ;D

Modded stand

Foot profile: leading edge enlargement makes it SOOO easy to lever up on the stand. Why don't they come this way?

Without Yamiya lock cover

With Yamiya cover

I see the damper needs some touch up.
Sidestand foot pad.

Finished up installing and torquing cyl studs.

Hey Ron,

Looking Good!  Hurry up!  You've got almost two weeks until the show on June 1st...plenty of time to get everything back and fire her up!   ;)

That center stand looks fantastic. Props to the welder for the detail.  Can't wait to see this bike in person.

Cheers, Joe

ITs getting close, would like to make it, but its not entirely up to me. And there'll be other shows events this year.

The welder at Saldana had fun with it, so I'm told. They do mostly tanks and radiators for Sprints and the like, Beautiful aluminum stuff. Woulld like them to make a tuck away Alum oil tank for a CB750 Cafe.

Got the speedo and tach back from Foreign Speedo. All's well in that dept. Would really like some high gloss black shrink tube to repair the wiring harness on the old speedo. Got flat black, but that doesn't do it.

Maybe I'll just wrap it with some nice tape.

Film at 11:32.   :D

Note from Mike, progress being made. But I have time to send out some pieces fro chrome. Got an EMail from Brown's: sale this month, 10%. Course they would probably give 10% anytime of the year if one asked for it.

K0 faces on K1 clocks. No silly red marks on the speedo, and an elevated redline.

Turned the speedo back to 0 and calibrated for 18" wheel.

+1 on speedo and tach comments and vintage connections.
if you do resort to tape use 3M Super33+
It has better long term durability and won't unravel and come unstuck like lots of other tapes. I believe 3M still makes it in colors other than black that their distributors can get.

Maybe some tape in Gold or Purple would be a nice 70s disco/delic vintage accent!

Mike sent me some pics of the head of Phaedrus, I'll post up after work.

Cyls top and bottom, had to source a new (used) set, new sleeves and bore job to fit my pistons: 888cc (aka Crazy 8s)

Cyl head: intake ports bored out, seats enlarged for 1.5mm OS In Valves and otherwise prettied up:

chambers opened up and deshrouded:

Thanks Mike! Carry On!

PS: Thanks to your son for the pictures!

YUP!  ;D

Spent a little time in the shop putting a pkg to Brown's together. I've gotten 4 boxes, none of which would hold the dang centerstand, odd shape.  Oh, I just thought of one...

Took the kickstarter apart, ever done that? Hope I can get it back together. Pulled the pins and springs from the footpegs. The bracket and peg itself was chromed 30 years ago. Still looks OK but kinda washed out. May send them too. Nuts and bolts and cable stays, whatever.
