Today's Shop Time consisted of packing up the sold K2 carburetors. Also conditioned the intake manifolds for sale. They are in pretty good shape. 8 OEM clamps too, but a few of them have been clamped to the max.
Then we unpacked the instruments. They were received with an audible gasp by the gallery.
Marcel did me a solid. They look great!
He let me put the wiring and bottoms back on.
And of course the Bottoms from Browns:
One of several problems was that the edges of the light holes and odo cutouts were raw faceplate. Don't know what Marcel used , a black magic marker at least, but it makes all the difference. BEsides, he indicated the first shop did not replenish the lube, and the interiors were dusty and the jewels were not afixed in place.
While the tach was NOS, in order to make sure it matched the much used speedo, Marcel replaced both black covers with his new improved versions. Don't know what he did with the actual clear faces, but they matched also, clear and clean.
If any of you are considering rebuilding your clocks, you've got to consider Marcel. Sure its something that a good DIYer can do, it was a job I didn't want to do. CB750faces.com His ads are often in the margin of this site.
NExt week we install the site glass and rebuild kit in the fr MC.
