NCCB:
Since that first video, we rebuilt the top end. The original one smoked too much. Long story, but it was decided to just start fresh and eliminate the variables. MRieck did all the machine work. Scored a new block from eBay, re sleeved it with larger sleeves to accommodate the 888cc displacement. We used the Arias pistons over, but Mike scored us some new Total Seal piston rings. Went thru the head. He touched up (that may be putting it mildly, idk) the existing porting job, cleaned and painted it (not a small job, it was a mess) new guides, new cut on valve seats, OS intake valves. Me and Bruce assembled it.
Besides the recent rebuild of the brakes, we had a centerstand cut down and chromed to accommodate the lower ride height. Adjustable side stand from Soupy in Michigan. Cobbled together a muffler mount/centerstand stop that will be redone at a later date. WE had the front end stripped part way down to massage it to move properly. It was locked up, but seems to be OK now.
Replaced a myriad of parts with chrome or finned pieces, installed a HondaMan ignition, Hlight relays, worked on a bunch of things that weren't copacetic, like the Rr TS bolts which would have fouled the rear tire had it hit a big enough bump. Replaced the drive chain with a gold one. Lots of things for the "look", I'm not ashamed to say. That's part of what this is all about.
