I like the horns Ron!
Thanks, me too. Ought to turn some heads this summer.
So we tried to install the oil cooler. Its a smallish Lockhart unit, in chrome, with a Jagg manual bypass, for cold weather startups and riding. The filter adapter is what threw me. I'd bot it from a forum member years ago. Other than to look at it briefly, I never unwrapped it and barely opened the box, till now. The bolt which holds the adapter to the cases is male on both ends. The adapter I had from Phaedrus I had a special bolt affair, mail on one end, and female on the other to receive the OEM filter bolt.

Screwing the adapter plate into the case with the double male bolt, left me wondering how would I bolt the oil filter cover to this?

I went to eBay looking for an oil cooler adapter, and lo. There was one from CycleX, with the double ended bolt and a spin on/off filter. So that explained it.
So, if I decide to use the finned Carpy OEM like oil filter cover, we'll use the older adapter I have. IF we go with the spinon/off, we'll get one of those, chrome of course.
