Well, I hjad an appointment with these guys:
http://www.mobiledynamometer.com/home.htm at their brick and mortar home base in Kokomo IN, about an hour from here. But by the time I got my jets and got my act together its too cold. He does it outside in his trailer, pretty neat setup. So, unless we have an Indian Summer or such, it may be April.
Or I can look some more.
In the meantime, we've got to score some sprockets. And the rear wheel seemed to hop on the dyno drum, so I'll pull it and check for out of round.
We worked on the FJ carbs some more. On a whim, pulled a main jet and it was clogged. 2 out of 4 all told. Pulled the pilot jets and all 4 of them seemed to be clogged. Wasn't expecting that. Easier and safer to buy new rather than clean the old, so that's what we did.
Forgot to put the float valve hold down screws in. So had to re-remove the float hinge pins which are pressed in. Found a discussion on an FJ board to use an automatic punch, rather than a hammer and punch. It sure did work better.
Pics later.
One of Bruce's friends was getting out of the sport and gave us a Craftsman lift. The kind that lifts from the frame rails. Can't use it when the pipes are on but otherwise.. price was right.
