Looks great Ron, I love those Oury grips, Oury's are my favourites too, I just bought 3 sets from an Ebay seller in the US for 11 bucks per set, so a nice price for a nice grip, and they're made in the USA still too.

I've missed a lot of your thread, last time I looked you had a different set of pipes on it, what was wrong with them? Or did you just feel like a change? Sorry to read about your Parkinson's, I hope it's not messing with you too much. Cheers, Terry. ;D

Yeah, we "finished" the first iteration with a Marshall Deep Tone pipe. (see the avatar) I never really liked it. It was quiet, which was desired. But now that I'm not going to ride it, I don't care so much about how loud it is. It probably held us down on our dyno readings. So even though the new pipes aren't marketed as performance pipes, going with the "louder is faster" theory, these may perk up the dyno runs a bit.

Also, the Marshall was a true b--ch to get on and off. And removal is necessary to monitor the oil pump screen. The new ones are completely outboard of the frame rails on either side. complete oil pan access.

The Marshall also splayed out to the right so far that it brought you to say, it looked like a freakin sidestand, or something to that effect.  :D  These mufflers are nice and tucked in on either side.

The Parkinson's is a b--ch also. But I've always said when the day came that I couldn't ride anymore, I'd be happy in the shop. That time has come.   :D

That new pipe looks nice Ron, I just checked CycleX's site and the price is pretty reasonable too. Keep going mate, and if you get a chance fire it up and shoot a YouTube vid, I'd like to hear how those pipes sound. Cheers, Terry. ;D
I was feeling sorry for myself because I couldn't afford new bike boots, until I met a man with no legs.

So I said, "Hey mate, you haven't got any bike boots you don't need, do you?"

"Crazy is a very misunderstood term, it's a fine line that some of us can lean over and still keep our balance" (thanks RB550Four)

Will do. It is attractive but not centerstand friendly. Going to the machine shop tomorrow, a bend or two on the stand ought to do it, its only metal.   ;D

Just got back from Saldana Racing Products. Wow, they made some really cool muffler hangers, bent the centerstand foot, and made a stop for it, welded a tip onto the sidestand so it could be deployed and made me a neato tool to hold the butt end of the axle from turning when being tightened.

Pictures at 11P.   ;D

checking the plugs are tight:

My long plug wrench on a floppy joint. Socket ground down so it doesn't hang up in the hole.

Wrap black tape around the U joint so it will still flex, but not so much its out of control. Push a foam into the socket to grab the plug head.

Just like this view. Dbl motor mount from voxonda, stainless hoses from CycleCity, heat treated kick shaft, chromed end to brake pedal shaft, etc:

I've been trying to get the right combination of angle, tongue weight, etc, to get the trailer to pull smoothly. It was pretty good, but there was a little pitter patter in the steering wheel, at cruising speeds. At first I had a 2" drop, then a 4" drop, now I got a 6" drop, which was a little harder to find. It has some extra gusseting to handle the leverage of the drop. But that brought the trailer into level, a teeny slant forward when loaded. And it was smooth sailing.

Left side shot showing the muffler bracket. Showing the extension to the sidestand and the resultant position of the centerstand pedal. They look a bit like footpegs. Will probably cut the sidestand peg back a bit when we're sure it works.

From the rear:

From the right. The hanger on this side has an extension to stop the centerstand:

No. I had a straight strap type affair in mind. The machinist made them curved, don't know where that idea came from, but I think I like them. They can always be changed later.

Bright sunlight will do that. Yes I had fun today. They did the work while I waited, took about 3 hours, a machinist and a helper. They charged me $220 incl. material. I'm happy.

Made it to Dreyers South Show and Swap Meet on Saturday.

Parked next to an all original, one owner CT70 with 885 miles on it. It drew a lot of attn:, on sale for $3000.

1947 Cushman, ran really well. Got first place.

NS400 got second, no pick. Whizzer got third place:

Didn't win anything, but showed off the horns, people actually jumped when I blew them,  ;D
Started it up also, pipes are pretty loud, have that cavernous echo type sound, like an open megaphone.

Pulled the carbs on Sunday.

Getting ready to take it for a Dyno run to see if the pipes do any good. Feels good to be back in play.   ;D

Got an appointment with Mobile Dyno in Kokomo Thursday. We'll see if I'm getting anything from the new pipe.

They are a mobile unit on a trailer. He travels the world to shows and hosts dyno shoot outs. But his home base is in Kokomo IN which is about 65 miles from me.

Had to cancel the Dyno Run. Got a severe dose of Angina and went in for a catheterization. No new blockages found, so angina being treated with drugs. Home now and feeling good.

Thx everyone for kind posts. I've got to learn more about this angina thing as its not going away, even though they couldn't find any blockages.

Had a short day in the shop. Got a Kuryakin "P clamp", customary K chrome. For the left side muffler hanger. Fits much nicer than the clamp I had cobbled together.

Pulled the carbs as we can't get it to run consistently, and have detected a slight leakage out of the throat of #2. May be a stuck float, we'll see.

Yeah I keep the little bottle in my pocket at all times. Then, a friend/nurse told me that it is very susceptible to heat, and keeping it in my pocket will damage it. So, now what?   ???

And they just put me on a daily Nitrate, so Viagra is definitely out.

Don't worry about keeping it in your pocket! Best place for it!! You could die otherwise. Yes, it can be susceptible to heat and moisture. A good rule of thumb is to replace it every 6 months if you don't need to sooner. Keep it in the little original brown bottle. We are taught to spout ideals. This is not an ideal world. Those ideals can get us in a world of #$%* if not combined with practical common sense which I apply in my practice.

A good rule of thumb is to replace it every 6 months if you don't need to sooner. Keep it in the little original brown bottle. We are taught to spout ideals. This is not an ideal world. Those ideals can get us in a world of #$%* if not combined with practical common sense which I apply in my practice.
Thanks, that's what I'll do. And  I do get refills every 6 months, regardless.

If you drop your bottle of nitroglycerin tablets, will they explode? ;D
I was feeling sorry for myself because I couldn't afford new bike boots, until I met a man with no legs.

So I said, "Hey mate, you haven't got any bike boots you don't need, do you?"
