Three weeler
« on: June 20, 2008, 08:16:14 AM »

I saw one of these three wheelers in front of the Moyie Pub yesterday.  It looks like it was well built.  Kind of like the Bombardier Spyder, but i think that this bike has been in production for 10 years.  I did notice that the steering wheel comes off just like a F-1 car, so you can get in and out of the beast.

For a 3 wheel job, it looked pretty cool and then I saw that the power came from a H-D engine. I think it WOULD be pretty cool, but I'd want a different engine myself. Just MY opinion though. ;) Thanks for posting. 8)

Curious why they have two different engine makers for them. (hd  on V13r and 'water cooled inline four' on the t-rex)

Starting at $39k not going to sell a lot to people who just want to play with them!

Ken.

The unit I saw was a "T-Rex"  I think it had a GSXR motor.

This trike was built right here in Quebec  :'(

I said WAS because they have close their doors(bankcruptcy) about a month or two.The company(founded by Daniel Campagna, engineer) start their production  in 1989.At the beginning this trike was built with suzuki motors, they had to buy the whole bike and then, take the motor(of course) and some other parts, and sell  the rest of the parts. After many years they change for Kawasaki, and as Greg said you could buy one with a harley engine ??? ??? ???

A stupid idea IMHO.

To make money with the company they had to sell at least 250 per years but they only sell 100,they need 10 million dollars to restart the production,i don't know if they will restart again because it's their second bankcruptcy...

20 persons lost their job, :( :( :(

Oops! I didn't check the T-Rex, I checked the other one and took for granted that both had the same engine. ::) That's one on me! :-\

From the looks of it the new version of the Trex possably uses the ZX14 engine in place of the ZRX 1200 engine they were using for the longest time...Thought i recalled hearing something about that company going bankrupt at the rally..
