The `78 750K came standard with a 630 chain 88 links long and 15 tooth front and 41 tooth rear sprockets.
There are also conversions to a 530 series & chain sprockets available

What he said :D

You will have to cut old one off. Before you remove it......

.....attach new chain to old one and pull it through front sprocket and back.

Just so you know, the 78K came with an O-ring chain. At least my owners manual said it came with one. It does not matter which one you get but there is a clearance thing that the older bikes need to worry about. I use a standard and with proper lube and clean, it will work fine but maybe not last quite as long.

When the shop in CA I stopped at to pick up my throttle cables looked at the chain, they were unable to locate a joint for removal. They cut it off. Perhaps it had been replaced with a one piece chain before I got my hands on it.

I thought I read somewhere that the OEM chains didn't have a removeable link and HAD to be cut off...
