I'd love to give an opinion.  I can't find a copy.  There are heeps and gobs of magazines at the local Books-A-Million just not one of these.  It was nice of Mitch to tell us they were going to have this mag, it would have been nicer if he had said"Heads up- It'll hit the stands next week" or something like that.

Try this link for back issues. I have not ordered from them FYI.

I got mine from Barnes & Noble. Those 'literature' snobs weren't very helpful. They told me they had ONE copy left, and wouldn't hold it for even a day so I had to rush down for a less than pristine copy. Now, several weeks later I see they have several copies. Latte sipping punks. I'd like to choke them but I'm pretty sure after many years getting by on soy this and bean sprout that they'd crumple like a dry leaf in the autumn.

OK, I'm better now... :)

The wife just brought me a copy, bless her.  ;D

Very pretty mag.  Way too expensive.  Should cost half as much, IMO.

I didn't think the magazine was too bad for a first issue and all. I'll give them time to sort of refine things. Now, it it were to be put out monthly at this price, I'd be satisfied to read it at the newsstand and leave it there when I was finished.

One thing I really like it that in the back of the magazine they encourage you (the reader) to pick up a project.

Ya know...im seriously considering going out and hunting for an RD350/400 thanx to this first issue....lol

My father and a good friend of the family built and raced in WERA RD350/400's. I have been around these bikes for a long time. They are great bikes and are tons of fun to ride. If you do find one I think you will be really happy with them. My first bike was a 1985 RZ350.

Okay, I'm bumping this thread because I finally got a copy and found a surprise.  I had to get it at the large mall bookstore.  I got it for a flight I took today, and saved it for the flight.  I got to page 45 where they ask 4 guys about their "addiction".  And number 4 is my former boss at the dealer I used to work at.  It makes sense, as he and Mitch know each other.  Three guys from California and him!

All in all, a good mag, too.

Took my copy of the magazine, down and showed it to my Dad. While it was covering motorcycles that were a little past his motorcycling period of time, he was still interested enough that I left it with him. I also left my August issue of Cycle World (with the article about the New Indian Chief) and he seemed to have an interest, which made me feel good because it will help stimulate him. ;)

Didn't have time to read all of the posts in this thread (or the 3 other threads with the same topic  :D). I first saw and picked up the magazine last night (found the last issue hiding on the shelf of a local grocery), and I like it! I had a subscription to Motorcyclist for a while and thoroughly enjoyed it. Seems that sometimes Motorcyclist gets a bad rap around here. I am a young and fairly inexperienced rider, and I enjoy both magazines and sincerely hope that Retro makes it! I will definitely get a subscription if it does. So far, I like what Mitch Boehm (sp?) does.

I got my copy at a local Barnes and Noble.  It is an over-sized magazine, so it kind of stands out among the pile of other bike mags I have lying around.  The contents of the articles is good.  There aren't that many advertisers in the magazine, so I think the price may have to be higher, but I don't really know much about the publishing business.  The quality of the paper on which it is printed is far better than any bike magazine I have seen in a long time.

All in all, I am impressed and will be on the lookout for the next issue.
