Topic: Are these supposed to fit onto a 4 into 1 header?

I got these off of eBay and was excited to replace my crappy, old and bent flanges. I just discovered that they will not fit as the inside diameter of these flanges is approximately 1.4 inches  where the 4 into 1 has a 1.5 inch diameter. Did I just figure why the 4 into 1 set up is a performance add on? Any advise on making these work for my set up?

--You might not need the flanges.
If the pipes are cinched in tight they might seal--mine do.

No such luck for me. There is definitely some blow by and backfiring.

have you replaced the gaskets in the head?

Yes I have. I know they are supposed to crush a little and I can the header tight but it does not crush. Don't get me wrong because the blow by is not that pronounced and the backfiring is not obscene but I would prefer to have everything tight.
