CB750 Complete Engine Gasket Kit
« on: June 28, 2017, 10:44:14 PM »
Hi Guys, just wanted to ask what Engine Gasket kits are preferred for the CB750
I was looking a couple of different brands should I get the NE Brand Complete gasket kit from 4 into 1 or the CB750K GASKET SET from Yamiya?
Not used these brands before so I was just wondering if others have used and recommend one of the these Gasket Kits or should I go for another brand.

NE brand is OK, the NE pucks are nice and thick, some Orings are not in the kit but that's par for the course.
Yamiya pucks are the thinnest and i would not use them "again"
They  do sell Honda ones though but don't use the Yamiya pucks FFS.

Hi Rocky,
I've used Vesrah, Cruizin Image & Yamiya gasket sets. I like the Yamiya gaskets. IMHO they were far better quality than the other two. Not the cheapest option, but I felt they were worth it. Didn't use the Yamiya pucks so can't comment on them.

I used a Vesrah kit, and treated most gaskets with thin layers of copper spray.  No leaks.
I did however need to purchase several 'sets' of pucks to find adequate ones.
The Vesrah kits pucks were not thick enough compared to their recess depth the head.

I agree, the Vesrah pucks are not good either, I use NE brand.

Most of the kits made before 2014 had too-thin rubber pucks. I recently bought some Vesrah (my general favorites) kits, and they once again have pucks, and they are correct. For a few years (2010-2014) Vesrah had left them out of the kits, because they had been selling the wrong ones (too thin) between 2008-2010, causing LOTS of troubles for us.
